We care about people at York Hospital

When you work here, we want to take care of you — and that’s why we offer our staff, their dependents, and their domestic partners* a full suite of benefits, which you can learn about below. Eligibility for most benefits begins at 20 hours per week.

Health insurance

Our three PPO plans are administered by Anthem and include four-tiers of coverage. They also include vision and prescription drug coverage, designed to give you freedom of choice while minimizing out-of-pocket expenses.

Dental insurance

We offer dental insurance through Northeast Delta Dental, which includes orthodontic coverage.

Life insurance

We offer group term life coverage for all York Hospital staff, with guaranteed issue upon hire in an eligible status. Supplemental life and AD&D coverage are also available for eligible employees, their spouse, and their dependents.

Disability insurance

We offer employee-paid coverage for both short-term and long-term disability.

Earned time

We give you flexibility to manage holidays, sick time, and vacation time from a single generous bank of accrued earned time. Unused time can carry over from year to year, with opportunities to cash out hours available each year. (Carry over and cash out amounts subject to maximums.)

401(k) retirement plan

Eligibility for participation in our 401(k) is available from the first of the month after date of hire. Employer match is available, as well as pre-tax and Roth contribution options.

Vision care

DeltaVision (supported through EyeMed Vision Care Network) provides coverage outside of our health insurance plan for Vision hardware, including glasses (frames and lenses) and contacts.

Pet insurance

We offer Pet Protection from Nationwide with options to meet every budget. Cost is based on pet species and zip code, not the age or breed.

Tuition reimbursement

We provide bi-annual opportunities to support you as you seek professional development.

Reimbursement accounts

We offer Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts to our employees.

Employee discounts

We provide staff with various discounts on cell phone plans, gym membership through the Seacoast/York County, certain retail purchases (including dining options), and theme parks.
